Creation of Angels

The new deities of Aspenta rejoiced at life and the world they were given. They played around and quickly thought that if Retam could create toys then they could do so as well. Their joy and happiness were infused into their creation and they came to an agreement on the toy they were designing. It had to be of humanoid form, looking like the mortal races that dominate the worlds today. This creature had to be good and happy as the deities were and should be as helpful in keeping others happy so that they wouldn't lose their toy as Retam had lost them.

The creatures had to be good to all the senses. They became warm to the touch and beautiful to gaze upon. They smelled heavenly and their voices were soothing and divine. Unfortunately, the deities were not powerful enough to unbind their creation from the anchoring as Retam had done to his creation. The deities pondered much over how to create a race almost as powerful as the deities. Finally, the creatures were given wings so that they could fly even though they were still anchored to the world. Their kiss became life giving so that they also had the power to create as Retam had given the deities. When this race was finished the deities named it "Angel".
